Why we built AmazingBoards
Most work-management tools fall into one of two camps. Some are so bare that you end up back in spreadsheets and group chats within a week. Others are enterprise suites with endless settings, dashboards, and jargon that a small business will never need — and never has time to configure.
AmazingBoards is made for small businesses. Boards, lists, and cards that make today's work obvious at a glance. Automations that quietly handle the repetitive steps. An extensions marketplace so you can add only what you need. And an AI assistant to help draft, summarize, and tidy up as you go.
We keep it simple on purpose. A new team member should understand their board in minutes, not days. The goal isn't more features — it's kanban that keeps your small business moving.
What we care about
Simple by default
Boards you understand in minutes. We fight complexity so your team can just get to work.
Small businesses first
Built for the way small teams actually run — not scaled-down enterprise software.
Thoughtful craft
Every board, card, and automation is designed to feel calm and deliberate, never cluttered.
Less busywork
Automations, extensions, and AI assistance handle the repetitive steps so people don't have to.
How we got here
- v0.1 May 2026
Sticky notes on a wall
It started with our own small team drowning in spreadsheets and chat threads. We sketched a simple board — columns, cards, who's doing what — and wished the tools we had felt that clear.
- v0.2 May 2026
First real boards
We built boards, lists, and cards we actually wanted to use every day. A handful of small businesses tried the early version and told us exactly where it got in their way.
- v0.3 May 2026
Automations + extensions
We added automations to handle the repetitive steps and opened up an extensions marketplace so teams could shape AmazingBoards around how they already work.
- v1.0 May 2026
AmazingBoards, launched
We shipped AI assistance to help draft, summarize, and tidy up work, and put it all together as a product built for the way small businesses actually run.
Who we are
AmazingBoards is made by a small team that got tired of losing track of its own work. We build the tool we wanted, listen closely to the small businesses using it, and let their day-to-day shape where it goes next.
